BIOGRAPHY
Leslie Wilks founded LWD in 1998. A California native, Leslie holds a degree in design from California College of Arts in Oakland where she graduated with honors. She has been an avid art collector for over 30 years. Her primary focus has been in collecting Early Abstracts from the New York school, late 1950’s, and early 1960‘s Bay Area Figurative Movement. More recently, inspired by an African Safari, Leslie has turned her passion to photography and ethnic arts. Her strong creative background in drawing, painting and sculpture has enriched her original furniture designs and the 3 dimensionality and balance of form within the living space.
